Worst:
We had a lot of bad puns today but this one might have been the worst. Frank and Ernest gave it a good run though, and the spousal abuse in Hagar the Horrible made this quite a good day for worst strip candidates.
Runners-up: Baby Blues (complaining about a lifestyle choice is unfair), Baldo (reader submitted comics=mailing it in), Beetle Bailey, Blondie, Daddy's Home, Dennis the Menace, Frank and Ernest, Hagar the Horrible, Mother Goose and Grimm, Red and Rover, Rhymes with Orange
Best:
The incongruity of the old comic lines is rather enjoyable.
Runners-up: Agnes, Big Nate, Candorville (Darrin Bell demonstrates the proper way to do a technology joke), Dilbert, Mutts, Piranha Club, Pooch Cafe, Watch Your Head

Vive le Difference Edition (Mar. 30)
Worst:
One of the things I have never liked about Foxtrot are the constant pop culture references. Bill Amend is mailing it in, which is his right, but I don't have to enjoy it.
Runners-up: Brewster Rockit: Space Guy!, Daddy's Home, Dennis the Menace, Garfield, Hagar the Horrible, Rhymes with Orange, Speed Bump
Best:
Here we have the rare joke that is both literate and well-crafted.
Runners-up: Agnes, Cul de Sac, Dilbert, Family Circus, Get Fuzzy, Mutts, Non Sequiter, Pearls Before Swine, Prickly City, Single and Looking,

Bejeezus Edition (Apr. 15)
Worst:
I had to look up who Rod Serling was, which is never a good start to a strip. He created the Twilight Zone, which makes sense, and is probably something I should have known.
Runners-up: Blondie, Dennis the Menace, Family Circus, For Better or For Worse, Hagar the Horrible, Mother Goose and Grimm, Prickly City, Zits
Best:

Immature Edition (Apr. 14)
Living in the Future Edition (Apr. 13)
Worst:
Here we have a strip ostensibly set around the year 1000 AD portraying stereotypes of gender relations from Eisenhower's America. It's rather astonishing how many comic strips cannot move past the 1950's in various ways, a list that includes Dennis the Menace, Blondie, Hagar the Horrible and the Family Circus. How long does it take an editor to realize that these strips are completely irrelevant.
Runners-up: Baldo, Beetle Bailey, Garfield, Zits
Best:
What appealed to me the most about this strip was the bottom line montage of the shot settling onto the back of the rim. I just liked the use of small panels within the larger panel. It's nice to see cartoonists move outside the box a little bit.
Runners-up: Candorville, Cul de Sac, Family Circus, Get Fuzzy, Mutts, Sherman's Lagoon

How to do Cliche Edition (Apr. 12)
Worst:
I suppose the joke is that lawyers are blood-thirsty sharks, which is very cliche. The checked suit on the lawyer bothered me also. This shows up a lot in Close to Home and doesn't add anything to the strip.
Runners-up: Blondie, Family Circus, Garfield, Mother Goose and Grimm, On the Fastrack
Best:
I have thoroughly enjoyed the escape storyline in Piranha Club so far. It's not at all sophisticated, as it depends largely on slap stick and scatology. It's funny though.
Runners-up: Beetle Bailey, Brewster Rockit: Space Guy!, Dilbert, For Better or For Worse, Get Fuzzy, Pearls Before Swine

Childhood is Forever Edition (Apr. 11)
Worst:
I find this a lot closer to creepy than to funny. Do we really need to see Hello Kitty going wild?
Runners-up: Blondie, Brevity, Curtis, Family Circus, Garfield, Hagar the Horrible, Red and Rover
Best:
I fully approve of being childish, although without losing sight of responsibility.
Runners-up: Agnes, Get Fuzzy, Sally Forth, Single and Looking, Watch Your Head

Subverting Authority Edition (Apr. 9)
Worst:
More inanity from Mother Goose and Grimm.
Runners-up: Beetle Bailey, Blondie, Brevity,
Best:
I've spent the last few years slowly becoming an adult. It's one of those things where you need to pick your battles.
Runners-up: Agnes, Family Circus, Pearls Before Swine, Piranha Club, Rhymes with Orange, Watch Your Head

Out of Place Edition (Apr. 8)
Worst:
I felt the phrasing on this one was really awkward. I'm not enjoying this whole Hello Kitty storyline. Mother Goose and Grimm doesn't do any better when it's not being topical though.
Runners-up: Blondie, Close to Home, Hagar the Horrible, Speed Bump
Best:
Get Fuzzy wins on a slow day.
Runners-up: Agnes, Beetle Bailey, Brewster Rockit: Space Guy!, Daddy's Home, Family Circus, For Better or For Worse, Frazz, Lio, Piranha Club, Rhymes with Orange, Sally Forth, Single and Looking, Watch Your Head, Zits
